Sariska Wilflife Sanctuary or Tiger Den of India is located in Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is one of the most famous tiger reserve of India. Sariska was declared a wildlife reserve in the year 1955 and prior to that it was a preserve of princely state of Alwar and was famous as the hunting ground of the Royal family of Alwar. Later in the year 1978 it was declared as a tiger reserve and also became a part of Project Tiger scheme of India to Save endangered species of Indian Bengal Tiger. Sariska National Park is spread in an area of aproximate 688 square km.
