Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary at Alwar (Rajasthan) - Tiger Den of India

Sariska Wilflife Sanctuary or Tiger Den of India is located in Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is one of the most famous tiger reserve of India. Sariska was declared a wildlife reserve in the year 1955 and prior to that it was a preserve of princely state of Alwar and was famous as the hunting ground of the Royal family of Alwar. Later in the year 1978 it was declared as a tiger reserve and also became a part of Project Tiger scheme of India to Save endangered species of Indian Bengal Tiger.

Sariska National Park is spread in an area of aproximate 688 square km. This area is situated at a distance of aprox. 107km from Jaipur and 200km from Delhi and is easily accessible through roads
